Eddies are going to be shipping in just a couple weeks, you folks at Parallax must be working furiously on documentation. Why not release what you have now? It would satisfy everyone's curiosity about Eddie and almost certainly will provide valuable feedback.

Eddie will no doubt draw new people to Parallax. SiIlly spelling and grammar errors do not make the best first impression.

    Yes, you're right about furiously working on documentation. Right now we're focusing most on getting the build instructions together for the unassembled version of Eddie, since that what we figure people will most want to do when Eddie arrives on their doorstep. :]

    So until that's put together, there's not much to show in the way documentation.

    We're also currently working on a more detailed web description to get people more information. And as soon as we have a post-able version of the documentation, I'll share what I can.

    Cheers,
    Jessica

    Just as a heads up, Eddie documentation is now available under the 'Downloads and Resources' heading on www.parallax.com/eddie.

    Cheers,

    Page 8;
    a cooling fan can be used to improve and circuit operation.
    While there are already 12 general purpose digital I/O pins brought out (including the Encoders section), each of these pins has a 4.7 k series resistor for protection.

    The Max ratings are a bit confusing on the Eddie control board.

    The supply for the board has a Max rating of 24V AND 18V

    The H bridges have Max ratings of 25V AND 16V

    Also, I do not see the voltage of the Fan port listed.

    Rich, please send these comments to editor@parallax.com. If you send them to the editor they are processed more quickly since they don't normally look on our forums for editorial changes.

    We appreciate the assistance and hope you carry on with more comments.

    Thanks,

    Ken Gracey
