In my other post I mentioned a 2.4GHz eKo Pro network platform from memsic that I implemented recently.
Here's another worth checking - this time it's a complete Open Source Hardware (OSHW) Wireless Sensor Node (WSN) that energy scavenges from http://www.ambientsensors.com/ by Robert Davidson.
Note: I placed this topic title directly from an email I received, and only after that I checked the AT86RF212 radio that Bob uses. It seems that it covers all 3 bands 700/800/900 MHz http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/doc8168.pdf
