Skype and numbers in debug window

I came across this nasty thing in Skype where it automatically shows just about ANY sequence of numbers as a candidate for a phone number.

Well, I do not need it and wonder if there is away to shut that 'feature' off without uninstalling skype?

Thanks,
John

You must uninstall or deactivate the Skype toolbar/plug-in. Unfortunately the new version of Skype seems to have removed the disable option from the settings, but as I recall the plug-in can be uninstalled from your Add/Remove Programs in your control panel.

    Chris,

It worked exactly as you said. The only additional step was to close the browser before uninstall of the Skype Toolbar.

    Thanks,
    John

    John,

Glad it worked...any time you make a change to the browser plug-ins you have to shut it down to take effect. I am surprised at them though. It used to ask you upon installation about taking over numbers in web pages, but as I said, in the latest version I got I was only warned (I was paying attention) about the other extra toolbars and I think changes to my home page it wanted to make. It never gave me the choice not to install their toolbar.
