Vertel KB-31 scanning Mag Stripe reader (motor, switches, etc)

I've been sorting through some of my spare parts and came across an odd Mag Strip reader that is a heavy duty piece. It was made by VERTEL (Clifton, New Jersey) Instead of reading a card while you slide it, this reader lets you insert a card, then will use a motorized lead screw to scan the card. It has a limit switch to detect a card and also limits on the travel for the scanning head. I don't have any data on it but I don't think it would be hard to connect to any of the micro controllers out there. I'd like to get $25 for this which would also cover shipping within the US.
