What's New Never Shows Threads I Post In

It appears that when I post to, or start, a thread, that it doesn't appear in the "what's new" search results?

    The "What's New" search looks for new posts you haven't read. If it's your own post, they assume you read it.

    If somebody posts after you it will show up.
