Hey guys

I have a little problem.
I use the mcp2200 Uart to USB converter.
I don’t now how I make a loopback.
Can someone say me how I must connect the pins?
Where must the RTS and CTS at the Basic Stamp Chip be?
Sorry for me English I’m from Switzerland.

    Welcome to the Forums.

Typically, loopback refers to connecting Rx and Tx together to check the functioning of the communication link.

There may be a problem with the mcp2200 and programming the Stamp as the Stamp needs the DTR signal to operate at the end of a program download to tell the Stamp to reset. In your datasheet, I don't see the DTR or DTS signal.

The FTDI chips are known to work with the Stamps and are discussed on the Parallax Store website.

    Cheers,

Not sure about the mcp2200, but some USB adapters give inverted signals and can work once an inverter is added. See http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?133195-USB-Adapter-Fix
