    I'm glad. I much prefer brick pavement over concrete and especially asphalt. It's more comfortable (heat wise) to ride my bike on.

    That is a neat idea. They need to develop a sidewalk sized model as Boston has a bunch that need re-work. Given the cost they replace them with cement side walks which are ugly.

    Besides appearance, brick side walks and roads allow water to seep between the bricks and percolate through the underlayment. This prevents water pooling on the surface, so you won't step into a deep puddle or have water running off into a storm drains. It's better for nearby water bodies if storm run off from roads isn't dumped into them as it has a fair bit of pollution in it. The fish and fishermen will thank you too.
