Thank you to Bill Henning for the "Upgrading the Boe-Bot" article with RoboProp!

Hey all,

Just received the September 2011 Servo magazine - thanks to Bill Henning the RoboProp is the cover story! I just wanted to be the first to express our appreciation on behalf of Parallax and the Propeller community. First looks are that RoboProp fills in all the missing pieces: dead reckoning, analog IR distance measurement, rear IR bumpers, and a really well-done PBASIC to Spin comparison. The article is appropriately targeted for the audience, too. I'll give it a complete read once these morning meetings are out of the way.

I'll contact the folks at Servo right away about requesting their approval to post a scan of this article so we can all read it.

Way to go, Bill!

    Thanks Ken!

    I appreciate your kind words.

I hope Servo does let you post it.... and you will find Part 2 in the October issue of Servo!

    Regards,

    Bill

    p.s.

You got your issue before I got mine :-) I was not expecting the September Servo to be out for another week.

And I'd better upload the listings to the URL's I promised in the article!

Great Bill!! Last month's product announcement, and now this!

My Servo subscription just ran out and they closed the Borders nearby. Now to find a new book store.

    publison, OBC, localroger: Thank you!

I've actually subscribed to Servo digital edition - while it is DRM'd, it does give you access to ALL previous issues... well worth it, in my opinion. Same for Nuts&Volts.

I will try to get a PDF from them of the cover + my article for my web site, but I strongly suspect I won't be able to get it while the issue is still on the shelves.

Just in case anyone wants to see what the cover looks like before they buy a copy of the September 11 issue Servo :-)

I asked servo for an image I can use a couple of days ago, since they did not respond yet, I made one... I will remove it if they compain - but how can they? I am trying to increase their sales :-)
