Just heard it on an Intel radio commercial: WiDi= WIreless Display

Beam movies from your computer to your TV, no wires. http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/07/intel-announces-widi-hd-wireless-display-technology/

Where will the acronyms end?

Quick! We "need" WiLi, Waylay, and WoLo next. Get Sector 7 working on it all!

"Where will the acronyms end?" - Perhaps THIS acronym is all you need... would WiDi be pronounced WhyDie?

The wireless power is where it at! Only problem is its still in the research stages. They had a tv at e3 I think 2 years ago that had literaly no wires at all just like a picture frame.

There is also LiFi, though they may have to come up with a different acronym, since Panasonic is already using that.

WiDi (Why Die?) sounds like the technology to use for brain uploading, ala Kurzweil. He should have grabbed the trademark while he could.
