Wow, Anthony, this is a fantastic project well done! I like your project's inclusion of Parallax processors and the Apple Mac. The hands and grippers make good use of a two servo system.

The Mac really shines for these applications. It's one reason my projects now include Mac. In this project, BASIC Stamps, Propellers and a Mac are integrated. http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?124495-Fill-the-Big-Brain

Thanks!! I do but it did not turn out like I wanted it to. I am currently creating a Segway and I am going to get my robot to ride it, then i'll have some good video. Creating the program is challenging but hope to make good progress this weekend!!

IAM, you really have some good innovative ideas here. Keep posting your ideas and developments as your robot is the key to the future. A Segway riding robot will really be amazing and keep us posted on all your projects. You are a great inspiration to the rest of us.

Robot on a Segway seems such an obvious idea, wish I'd thought of it... (And technically an interesting challenge)

Can you post some video of your robot, even before getting the segway going? This I want to see!

I will def. get some videos soon hopefully, sorry guys. I am in the process off moving to continue schooling so finding free time for things is hard. But I am still slowly working on the segway since I will be using it for commuting. I just got the Robo claw motor controller and it seems to be pretty awesome! but my Main thing for this and the robot is battery power. I have tons of batteries but to achieve all the best results the batteries I would love to have are way to expensive. I am trying to find alternatives that will save me weight but also have alot of run time. I was thinking of maybe putting two extra motors on the robot to be ran by the idler wheels, like a generator and charge the batteries while it is moving and charge them when it decreases speed with the Roboclaw. Has anyone messed around with generator projects???. Also maybe make a circuit design that takes the generator voltage and does just that....
