The crystal socket on Propeller Proto boards..

Does anyone know what they are called or have a part number? It's the little bitty sockets for the crystal pins.

    Another option which works is hacking a machined IC dip socket, cut the little pin out and use that. I saw that here somewhere and it works.

    Ditto here. My M44D40+ module uses machined pin low profile sockets from Samtec headers. Very high retention force, so the connection is solid.

    I bought cheaper ones from Future Electronics but the last time they shipped me 2 pins instead of 200. Ouch!
