I think it's a bit harsh, but it does demonstrate what can happen when you're too loose with your claims. (and provide next-to no support)

At least we have Parallax and a community that supports it.

I was going to buy one when I looked at the forum and read the complaints about the incomplete libraries. Digilent was putting out Alpha level software as Gold code. That's unethical, then Digilent essentially abandoned their own forum which stinks. This was all avoidable if they spent a few months fixing the libraries, they didn't and now it's biting them.

I think I'll either go with the UBW32 or FezII.

I would still like to get one to mess around with the PIC32, since you can use it with MPLAB & a PicKit 3.

I bought a Chipkit UNO 32 and I'm pleased with it. I agree the product was released far too soon for the Arduino librarites. My plans are to use Microchip's libraries so the state of the Arduion libraries aren't a concern for me. I was going to get the Chipino which is also a PIC based Arduino clone with far less power and more expensive assembled! BTW The UNO can use a PICKIT 2 which I had so that was a selling point. You have to have a PICKIT 3 for the MAX. I agree with Kevin, I wanted a PIC32. I have a PIC24 in a Chameleon PIC and a handful of PIC18, and PIC16s

I think it was put out quick to grab part of the market. I think if they spent another year in product development and testing then this might not have happened.
