What the new WiFi module means to the Propeller

I saw that Parallax is putting out a WiFi module and so I would like to know what that means for the Propeller. For example, does this mean that the Propeller will be able to talk via WiFi to a computer directly? or does a Spinneret need to be involved?
What sort of things will we be able to do with this? (Besides making The Big Brain even bigger, that is.)
