although I'm sure Mom will insist that he gives me a ride...

If you learn nothing else this summer, Maddie, you've stated an important *LIFE* lesson above!!
@MattG: I'll have to try the magnifiers, the bi-focals just aren't cutting it!!
Nice workspace! Looks like we'll be seeing more Stingray pics soon? I am putting the Stingray I won at UPEW together tonight. I am hoping to modify a two of the side panels to make "universal" side panels.
Matt, Soldering in shorts is a sure way to get a lesson on the "Hot Solder Drip On Leg" dance (Kinda like an EXTREME version of the pee-pee dance).
Funny to watch, but not recommended.
I used to drip solder on my pants (even pajamas) all the time when I was a kid. Now that I'm an old guy I almost never do. And I'm sure he's got a better soldering station and equipment than me which would remove any need to pull the iron back over the edge of the bench. Notice they aren't short shorts, they're short pants, and he's scooted up so most of the bare part of his legs are covered by the workbench, and his hands are well over the edge of the bench, so he's covered.
@Maddie - great video of that funny creature in the corner. He's really become a bit of a mad scientist - do you think I should check in with him now and then, throwing a donut his way?
And it's great to see you on the forums. The forum members miss the insider news and your presence. Please come back more often with more pictures and details from the inside.

Did that one last night . It was over 100 here with hmidity ......... .pooo.
At least Matt is surrounded by plenty of wood on the job. His benchtop and those shelving units. Slowly, they will wear him down and bring him to his senses.

Umm... and there is something wrong with being a mad scientist Ken? ;-)
@ mindrobots - they're not bi-focals (at least not yet!) They're 3.75 power magnifier's from the Dollar Store :-) I can now solder 0402's by hand! -Matt
Matt: Excellent! I knew this all along. Now that we (everyone on the Forum) all know this, we can send all our boards & smaller than surface mount components to you, and you can solder up the boards for us with your phenomenal cyborg ocular vision and more than steady Cyberdyne hand.

The Marketing Department Intern is the reason Chip doesn't work at the Rocklin office (I always have a camera around here for any interesting (read: shiny) things...)!!

Well, at least he's not cussing up a storm while he's "experimenting," like I do.

...or so I've heard! :nerd:
Unacceptable!
besides, it's HOT here today, I'm hovered over a hot soldering iron, and you sneak up on me?

Everybody knows the first thing a evil robotics' lab needs is an alarm system...
