Boston Dynamic Wheel Legs Hexapod
I've seen this same design done using Lego Technic, but it isn't nearly as robust as this design:
My son got a birthday present for a toy robot with wheel legs which used a similar design also. It looks like a great compromise between articulated legs and wheels. Although I have to wonder if a good four wheel drive design would work almost as well.
