Nokia 6610 132x132 LCD - Anyone use w/ prop?

I've got an old Nokia 6610 with the Epson driver, purchased from Gravitech.us a year or two ago. I am VERY new to using LCD displays on a prop... trying to get a peek at some code that might help me figure out how to get this thing running. It has a serial interface (sclk, sdata) and is 132x132.

Alternately - anyone know of any other small (1.5 to 2.0" max) LCD displays - preferably with a touch screen - that I can drive with a prop?

Thanks, sorry for the newbie question, just coming online with props now, after years of making BStamps dance and sing... :-)

I was looking for pinouts of my nokia and I found this site that might have something for you, but you may already have it http://www.nokia-tuning.net/index.php?s=pinout_7210 , your phone uses F-Bus or M-Bus that is located under the battery, this his how the phone is programmed by the providers :) You might be able to do a test mode for the LCD on the phone and peek at the LCD dataline with a scope or prop to see what it is doing.

They also have pinouts for various nokia displays, The info I was looking for is for the 8 pin monochrome display as used in the TracFone Model 1100b. I'm trying to figure out how to read the battery status indicator from a prop so I can have it detect when it needs to be recharged and power off if needed :). Let me know if you've had any luck with your display.

This is some good stuff, thanks! Very useful ideas and code examples. I just wish this was a touch-screen as well! :-)

    Thanks again,

While searching for documentation and schematics for my phone, I saw the service manual for your 6610, the link is http://www.eserviceinfo.com/downloadsm/26157/Nokia_6610,%207210.html It is a 3 part download.

Part one is downloadable from the bottom of that page, for part 2 and 3, scroll back up to the top of the page, under "File Information - MultiPart" click on 1 and 2 for parts 2 and 3.

I checked the files and they are fine, it includes a full parts breakdown that has the part numbers, BOM, and schematics.
