BST PROBLEM with view error

Hi

Have a question on how to see the error log on BST 19.3. I do the shift + ctrl+E and only see the file path at the bottom of the IDE. My programming generates many compile errors! I just started with BST so I am probably at fault.

Also is it compatible with Viewport with its non PropTool commands?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm using 19.4, not 19.3, but it should be the same. Is it possible that the divider is at the bottom of the window? It could even be below the bottom of the window (see second screenshot). Try opening two files and moving back and forth between the tabs.

Thanks for your quick reply! I think you nailed it but how do I get it back?

As long as you can see the divider, you should be able to drag it up. So far, I haven't been able to create a situation where it's completely outside of the window frame. If you still can't find it, post a screenshot and let's see what you're seeing. Also, double-check that Errors is checked in the View menu.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but had some issues her last night. Cant see a divider except for the bottom of the IDE. Clicking it will only make it bigger. It also sometimes locks up on me esp with the terminal running. Think I might have to re install?

Here is a view of the complete IDE.

There's definitely not a divider there. It could be a problem specific to the Windows version. Maybe a Windows bst user will chime in.

    Hi SSteve

Figures it would be a Vista issue!! I know, I know I should change to a Linux OS but a little nervous to do that on a laptop.

Any one else have any ideas other then re-installing? I like what BST offers over PropTool and would love to see either work with Catalina.

Check the registry entry for HKCU/Software/camsoft/bst/0.1/Main/Geometry, for me 14,16,689,901,344,224,357 puts the error window slider in the middle of the window.

    Thanks for replying!

Looked at the registry under Geometry and mine shows: 27,88,663,848,467,250,1

    Does this help?

The 1 (last entry) looks wrong or rather too low. Change it to something like 100 which makes it visible again (just checked).

Thank you so much!! Changing the last number to 100 made it visible again. Could you please explain to me what I just did?

You adjusted what I assume is the relative location of the window divider. Most likely measured in pixels.

Any idea what might have caused this? Did I do something to cause this?

    Thanks again!!

I must admit I have no idea as to why this happened. I had some related trouble a while back and Brad suggested deleting this particular key. Having played around with a multi monitor setup recently the new default window opened up off-screen (after key deletion) so I had to adjust the top left corner (first two entries) manually. Go figure!

Interesting to say the least! As you can probably tell I am not much of a programmer but much better at hardware.

Thanks again for your help and guidance...
