Nook and book
I am enjoying my Nook Color, thank you very much. What is everybody reading, besides the Propeller manual? I am just finishing the Korean and WWII series by W.E.B. Griffin. I like his story telling style, but sometimes he goes a little overboard with the amount of detail. Now, I am looking for some new reading material, and I may find that whatever you are reading to be my next topic of interest.
Thanks

(Or at least what's on my Kindle)
A couple of Terry Pratchett's books..
(Amazon ebooks)
Aslaug's 'Transitions' (and part of Transitions II)
from aslaug.eu
(Downloadable chapters in .pdf format. Warning, this takes on some mature issues. Transsexuals, bisexual and lesbian relationships, goings on at a 'blue' movie studio... no really explisit details... hate crime and the repercussions, a porn convention... love... a lot of growing up... )
And yes, I'd recommend it to anyone who's adult and not a raging homophobe.
TII(only available as .html) begins in September 2001... It also deals with Afghanistan, soldiers getting wounded or killed. Abusive relationships, love... growing up...
Also, to make it 'worse' the stories use anthro characters(furries... ) which may scare a few off.
Sabrina Online the Story...
(Slice of life. Mostly good, clean fun. Hints to adult activities, though)
Based on the comic at sabrina-online.com
This story can be found at www.chrisfoxx.com for online reading, or downloaded in 'books'
(.PDFs) at raccoons-bookshelf.com
If picking up files there, also get 'Gone Wylde'...
Or anything by the author 'Anthony Lion'...
Another book is 'Fey' by Paul Kidd.
(Amazon ebook. Don't know if it can be read on a Nook)
A couple of chapters from www.nas-kan.org
Some are silly... But it has computers and magic in them, so who cares?
(And shiny spacecraft... aliens... dragons... )
The rest is either 'too weird' for most, technical docs, or even 'kill you after reading' (I sometimes do a bit of editing for friends, one or two who pretend to be authors and get early drafts for hack&slash editing)
1) Parallax Docs:
If you want to get unstuck on the relativity of simultaneity, I have some good resources that are mathematically simple and fairly intuitive. They complement Chap 27 very well. Let me know if you are interested, and I'll send you some pdfs or references by PM.
I enjoied also Gene Wolfe, even if his english is very complex for me.
Gibson is very good too.. the Neuromancer is a must read.
Alfred Bester is considered a sort of father of the cyberpunk, but not available for the nook.
Moreover if you go to the project gutenberg you will find a lot free stuff. Treasure island? Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?
Moby Dick? Dracula?
