C3 a 6 layer board?

Hi,

The signal trace seems to be on layer 2 & 3?

Thanks.

Edited: After a closer look, the white solder mask seems to mask the signal trace well. So its a 4-layer board then?

No. The top and bottom copper layers are available from the C3 downloads. 2 layers only.

Like MJ said -- "I'M badddd I'm badddd -- duuu duuuuhhh daaa!"

Two layer baby :) It took Jedi hand routing, there's a lot of stuff on there -- Of course, a messy route is easy, but a clean one is a work of art.

I am routing the new "Scorpion Retro Gaming Add-On Board" for the Arduino. It uses a Propeller and a LOT of other stuff, I think 15-16 chips in all. For that I had to go to 4 layers -- it was doable with 2, but the memory buses would have been a mess, and for 50 cents, I would rather have it clean.

Anyway, yes, like the man said, the C3 is 2 layer to keep cost down.

    Tux,

Sorry I was on my netbook last night (in bed). It's hard to type much without disturbing my wife.

Here's a link to the C3 docs. Look at the ones with "copper" in their names.

    Thanks Duane. Got it.

Yeah, gotta salute "the man" ... admire the routing ....
