Whenever I read an article like this one, I try to figure out whether and how it could have been done easier and using fewer parts with a Propeller. In this case, I think it could have been. With the Prop II, there would be no question.

    Often, before demo'ing a project, I make my standard intro, "OK, it's not a cure for cancer..."

    I'm sure that we'll soon see a version of this on Hack-A-Day -- "Cancerduino" or "Oncoloduino".

    The DDS, and the calculation parts are the most intensive ones.

    Also, a thing to wonder, are all the cancer cells respond the same? I believe the genetic behaviour of the cells on each individual are different and what might be detected on a person, could not be done on another group of person. I may be wrong though.

    What an interesting article. I imagine that a lot of this could be done with the prop. Particularly the frequency & phase generation, and presumably the frequency detection too.
