A neat little video showing what can be done with a junked up roomba.

Thanks for posting that video. The suspension on that robot was neat and looked like it did help it go over rough terrain versus being a novelty.

The big question in my mind is tank treads versus a four wheel concept like that. Once you are on rough terrain I imagine dead reckoning goes out the window. So that disadvantage of tank drive seems like it goes away.

After seeing Amanda's tankbot I succumbed and got some treads to use on a future robot.

Hi guys. That's my Romba bot! :)
I'm building another one with two Roomba motors on it for this weeks hack on Hack A Week. I'm actually here on the forum searching for some code to use on the MSR1 board that will power it up. Here's a pic of what I've got built so far.. http://twitpic.com/5jbzbl
Two motors and a PING sensor. I just want a simple code routine for now. This will be my Prop development robot for future projects and in another month or so, I'll add the Laser Range Finder to the mix. Any links to some code would be a big help. I'm a nubie with the Prop and Spin.
    Thanks... Dino

    Nice Dino!

I've got a couple of those project boxes I've been wanting to put some gizmos into.
