Connecting a L6203 to a propeller?

I want to connect a L6203 to a propeller. http://www.st.com/internet/analog/product/63230.jsp

I should be able to connect IN1, IN2, and ENABLE directly to pins on the propeller. Maybe with pull down resisters to prevent power flow until the Propeller is ready.

My question is the SENSE pin of the L6203. Can I use a Sigma-Delta Analog to Digital cercuit to a pin on the Propeller?

Thanks
Jay

I would not connect the sense pin to the propeller directly. I am sure its meant to be connected to a small resistor so that the L6203 can provide a constant current to the "motor / device". However the IC is cheap and its not included in the package, so it will require additional circuitry. I typically use a comparator that turns on / off another mosfet if the sense voltage at the desired level. If you need to measure the voltage on the sense pin then use a ADC with a "sense resistor", or at the least buffer it before the propeller.
