I have one of these, (Velocity Micro Cruz reader, which is very similar) so I'll give a quick review of it:
The web browsing is good, however, the WiFi tends to disconnect often and you will have to turn it off and on again.
The YouTube playback is horrible quality although it loads quickly. You have to install the [not so good] app to play them, you can't play straight through the web browser.
Apps cannot be stored on the SD card, just on the internal memory, which isn't that large. Most apps won't install out of box because of the restricted internal memory.
Video playback (from the SD card) isn't bad although there is a little lag at time but it's hardly noticeable.
Other than that it's a very good device for the price.
My wife just bought a Micro Cruz reader and she just love it

This part is true but live able

Are you complaining about the YouTube playback because it locks you into the mobile YouTube site? I have this issue with my Nook Color. If I watch a video directly at YoutTube, it is horrible because it directs to m.youtube.com which is optimized for a tiny phone screen, so the image quality isn't great on a 7". When I view embedded youtube videos, I get an error saying it isn't optimized for mobile devices but then plays at full resolution and looks fantastic on my screen.
P.S. In my 8 months of research, the Velocity Micro Cruz was on the top of my list, before I bent towards the Nook Color since it can go full Android 3.0.
