I like the concept of a fuel cell train, both in miniture & full size, the model probably would have worked better pulling rather then pushing.

Leap frogging the batteries makes much more sense rather then attempting to power the entire line!

I downloaded the 1hr BBC show where the Brits are racing the Germans.

It's really a good show. I wonder if some gyros and movable weights controlled
by a uC would help them keep these little trains from derailing? That german
train that has a fuel cell was a nice touch.

Since they are racing between abandoned railway stations I was wondering if
the original tracks still exist? If they do exist then a contest with homemade
engines that run on solar or fuel cells would make for a great contest. :-)
