"searchid" expires too quickly?

I was gone all day today. (Father's Day: 'took Dad -- age 94 -- to the Muckleshoot Casino. He LOVES the slots!) 'Came home to find 49 unread threads. 'Poked my way through the first page, then clicked on page 2, only to be greeted with something like, "Search term not found." 'Had to click "What's New" again before things righted themselves.

'Not a huge deal, I suppose, but maybe a forum setting that could be augmented?
