Interesting comments in this article about various de-capping techniques used to photograph chips for reverse engineering. Other comments about the age of designing that way are times gone by. Made me think about Chip and the Prop I, and what is coming for Prop II.
Finally, the idea that we will have access to our digital history is put into relevant question. Nice take, IMHO, and from the last people I would have expected to be writing commentary on something so young as micro-processors are.

You'll have to ask them.. Savagecircuits tends to be a little slower, more low key forum, so maybe it's preference.
