Connecting your Spinneret to the Internet: HOWTO - Comments Requested

I've written a brief HOWTO for those who need help with getting there Spinneret connected to the outside world. This is a DRAFT copy, and I'd appreciate any feedback on it.

    Update to this in the works. I'm thinking that http://spinneret.propellerpowered.com needs to become a resource specific to the spinneret instead of propeller gaming.

    Most everything you have here relating to IP addresses is correct and necessary but actually you only need a unique MAC address to communicate on an Ethernet LAN and in fact do not NEED an IP address at all until you cross a router. Of course there are things that will not work without it but here I am talking about the basics.

    Since I have seen several threads relating to getting and setting a MAC address on the spinneret I think you need to add a section up front about this.
