Measuring EC with AD5933?

I've been looking for a good circuit in which to measure the electrical conductance of water, and I stumbled across the AD5933 which appears to have both the sine wave generator as well as ADC on board.

Anybody have any experience with measuring EC in water, or the AD5933?

I tried to find the data sheet for this chip without much success. From the data provided on the page your link goes to it looks like a pretty complete subsystem but I think you will need a microcontroller or PC to use the full functionality from it. This looks like a marketing web page though so..caveat emptor.

Wow! Maybe this is the answer to my desire to measure water hardness for swimming pools!
