Hello,
I'm not trying to create any kind of buying frenzy, and most of you already have your QuickStart boards. However, I want to let you know that if you wanted to buy one I'd do it right now. Why? With only 50 units in stock and manufacturing jobs for a dozen other products these little boards may go out of stock for a while. My only intent is to provide preference to our forum members. These 50 units will be gone by the weekend. There's a production build of 240 units in the queue, but BS2s will get the priority.
I know our Manufacturing Manager Jen Fearn is on top of the production backlogs, but I don't know when these will be in stock again. The competing interests in manufacturing for the rest of the month are truly complicated by other wonderful things going on: installation of the selective solder machine, an inventory count and annual shop polishing, several new production runs for Lion Chargers, PropBOEs, WiFi modules, PropScopes and an assortment of machined parts. Add on top of this the regular products we're always running: BASIC Stamps, Propeller testing, etc.
Through July and August we will be doubling our manufacturing capacity through the addition of shifts and/or staff. This will support our long-term objectives and prevent the short inventory outages you may see early this summer. The crew is working efficiently and effectively in the meantime. We're very proud of them!
Thanks,
Ken Gracey

I have a colleague that is looking into the Propeller for a new product and I'll make sure he mentions my forum name we he calls one of your FAE's to get him that extra "preference".:thumb: Two of my existing projects perform portions of his product's plans, so showing him my projects was a perfect way to push him to the Prop. (wow, that's a lot of P words)
You've got five (5) FAEs to choose from and you know all of them, but maybe not their specialties.
Feel free to drop me an e-mail and I'll identify the right FAE before you need to make contact.

But, when you click on it, the product page says "out of stock".
Maybe I'll wait and see if they have any at UPEC...
