Problem with Propeller Tool

I have several projects containing many .spin files.

I've noticed when the Prop Tool list of files gets filled, with a scroll bar, then it refreshes about once per second.

When this happens, it's not possible to load a file from below the visible area.

If you scroll down, it refreshes before you can double click on it to load it. When it refreshes, it goes back to the top of the list. Very frustrating :)

Is there some way to turn off this refresh, or to have it maintain the scroll position while you're grabbing the file you want? I'm using version 1.2.7.

Thank you for the help.

Jim

I've seen that too, but only on some systems. Not sure what part of windows triggers that behavior, but something does. My current Windows 7 system will do this. My older XP one doesn't, and neither does the Vista computer I have on the bench. (and don't ask: It was a freebie, and it works just fine for propping and video capture)

My work around is to open a explorer folder, and arrange it in a strip, with the detail cut down so that it's just a list of files. Double click on the one of interest, and there it is, in the prop tool.

I know I can do it from the explorer window, but then I have to have another window open. I usually have a bunch open anyway...

It seems like the tool isn't handling the update process correctly.

I'm sure they do it to keep the file list up-to-date, in case you drag something into that folder.

I'd rather have a refresh button under my control.

I suppose there's no chance of getting it fixed, since the program hasn't been updated for a year and a half.

At least I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem.

Let me know if anyone thinks of something else.
