Whilst I was preparing my speech for attaining the glorious post count of 500 I decided a statistical analysis was in order.

Unfortunately the results may indicate no need for pats on the back. :zombie:

Of my 500 posts, 41% have been blatant post whoring, 38% have been snide or sarcastic remarks, 14% have been completely off topic, and only 7% have been actually helpful.

Kind regards,
Paul

I'll be reaching my 2,000th soon. It's still another 3,000 more before I get my final star, and 5,000 after that before I get VIP. I have about the same percentages as you, only 37% post whoring, 45% sarcastic remarks, 6% off topic, 7% helpful, and 5% promoting my blog, microcontrolled.com.

    Make that 5.001%

    What is "post whoring"?
Are you getting paid for it?

I realize you may be using sarcasm here, but just in case: Post whoring it the act of posting in a thread just to add to your post count. Or something like that anyway. :D

I always thought "post whoring" is what fence post salespeople do when times get tough.

"post whoring" is whatever hookers do after they have retired.

How did you figure out that 7% of your posts were helpful?

You need to post (opportunity to add another one to the count!) your measuring stick.

    Here are some suggestions:
    1.The smoke stayed inside processor
2.No additional memory was required to complete the program.
    3.No upgrade to Windows7++ required
4.Reply to Vaclav's rants does not count as helpful .

Congratulation Paul , keep on trucking.

Well, if my original account didn't get deleted due to lack of usage, I'd be up there...
but seeing how we are looking at current accounts... I'm still a bit off ...

    Congrats!

I live in awe of ElectricAye's ability... Who but EA could post a post pic so perfect?! Where in the world does one find a photo of gleeful suits and Mr. Greenjeans driving a fence post?!

BTW, their obvious delight has prompted me to reconsider my choice of a profession.

Admittedly I was generous in my estimation on that category! :D I may have used a very broad definition of "helpful" as well. :D

    Thanks vaclav!

Actually, it's pretty easy to find. It seems the Royal Family has a passion for such activities...

I used to own post drive gizmo just like it – courtesy of my father-in-law who was a welder.
It took three man to lift it! With tools like this who needs gym.
Needless to say, I am glad we did not move it to Texas, but I gained few pounds since.
I would be careful using it this way, it may be in same category as wallpapering with your spouse!
Sorry for OT, but I could not resist.

@vaclav - when I was growing up my father had a post driver made from 6 inch pipe for driving 4x4 posts for piers and docks in the lake. It was all I could do to lift it once, yet my older brother would pound away with the thing all afternoon! What a brute!
