Enjoyable PCB design tutorial

A review for some, I'm sure, but I did learn some things from this. My power routing on 2-layer boards has been worse than I thought (and I already knew it wasn't great)!

    I need all the help I can get with PCB design.

    That is definitely a well written and thought out document! I was happy to see that I've been dong well on the best practices covered. There were a couple of great ideas in there that I want to try on some future boards. In particular was putting a trace, text, or shaped ground plane on the solder mask layer to block out areas you done want the mask. A great example was leaving a rectangular area on a bare area of the board that you can use to write in a serial number or other details. I know I'll need that trick for some future project.
