I am using a basic stamp 2 through a relay to turn a pump on and off at time intervals. The relay is flipping over which I know because it is audible and I also know that my pump works (tested). Am I grounding my pins incorrectly? any input would be GREATLY appreciated as I am at a complete loss.

Doubtful that your relay is being activated by the Stamp. It may click yet not be making contact. An i/o pin can source 20 mA or sink 25 mA; your relay likely requires 100 mA or more to activate. You will need a transistor switch to activate your relay. You may have already damaged whatever i/o pin you hooked directly to your relay coil. See the last post in the sticky FAQ post on top of the Stamp forum for relay info.
