Hi Parallax officials,
My name is Nick Williams and I am building an FTP server for the Spinneret Server. So I thought "Let's enter the contest'".
I am a software engineer working in the medical field I have extensive experience building TCP/IP apps on the windows platform. I am somewhat new to micro-controller development.
Feature List,
Simple implementation of basic FTP functionality including passive mode.
Support for both binary and text transfers.
Provide an extended FTP command LOAD-Filename.
This command will load a file from the SD card directly to the boot section of the EE mem. This will allow the developer to compile a spin program upload it to the Spinneret using FTP then call the extended FTP command LOAD, causing the device to reboot itself as another app.
Additionally as a separate deliverable I plan on releasing a simple spin object that will allow the user to reload the FTP server from the SD card and again re-boot the chip.
I plan on using FileZilla FTP client [3.5] for all testing and validation.
Thanks for the contest Parallax.
