Joystick #27800

Hi everyone! This is my first post after reading these forums for a few years and it is a really simple and stupid question but I can't figure it out. I would like to mount the joystick #27800 in my project for menu selection for a BS2P but can't figure out how to get the rubber "top" off. There's no screws that I can see anywhere on it, andI can't pull it off (I didn't pull that hard as I didn't want to break it). I'm hoping someone here can tell me how to do this so I can drill and file the proper hole in the panel. Thanks Tom

    Welcome to the forum!

Pull harder. It should come right off.

    Same as flying.

If you want to go up, pull back on the joystick.

If you want to go down, pull back some more.

All this stalling for time only increases the gravity of the situation...

Sam's quite right; we really should streamline this conversation and laminarize its flow.

I hear it gets congested where it narrows to two lanes. But at least the speed limit is higher in those areas.

Quite so; there is much less driving pressure after the merge and people speed merrily along the boundaries of performance. Not sure what their angle is, but they attack the route with aplomb!

    erco,
After some flying did you ever get the strange urge to pull back on the steering wheel
of your car and fly away? :-)

Sure, to no avail. FYI, the "rudder pedals" operate quite differently in a car as well...

    Someone asked me once
"Why doesn't this plane just have a gas pedal like a car instead of that thing you pull"
    LoL :-)

LOL, not only have I done that, but worse is the initial urge to "steer" the plane on the ground with the yoke. That always tips off an instructor that you don't use the rudder pedals for much more than a foot rest...
