Does anyone know where I should start to build such a device? :)

Made you look. Happy Memorial Day!

    Aw, man! I was thinking this was a real project! You had me fooled!
    Oh well, now I can build my own and it won't be a copy. :-) If I used a Propeller I could use vision tracking to locate the burgers and hotdogs and use a silicone hand to grab them. This actually would be a really cool project.

    erco,
    Be sure to use lots of optoisolators on that... lots and lots of 'em.

    All my attempts of controlling motors with the Propeller via homemade H bridges have been unsuccessful, so lots of opto-isos wouldn't be so bad. At least, I assume you are talking about the motors.

    Let's see....BS2 + servo or stepper + turning mechanism, easy peasy. Physical turning device, HDPE..nope-melts, UHMW..nope-melts,..ahh! WOOD!

    I think erco might need an organic isolator for a food product application. I have a patent on these and am willing to sell for the right price. :)

    @Publison: Other than forgetting myself and using plastic here, maybe I was closer than I thought. The Tower of Hanoi is not unlike stacking burgers & buns. I just need a wrist rotation servo to flip the burgers!

    @Martin Hodge: LOVE that ercolizer!
