I need to send a request to a website which parses the request for data. I don't really need anything in return but it would help if I could. Is this possible with the spinneret?
Yes, it's very easy and there's example demo code. Simply configure a socket, build you header, and send the message. You'll need to know the destination IP and pick some unused local port. I usually pick something over 5000. The W5100 will open a socket on the remote server. Then remote server will do whatever processing and send a response. If you are hitting a shared host, then you need to add the host header line.
