I notice that Google still returns links to forums.parallaxinc.com. Since this site has been subsumed by the current forum, I wonder if a robots.txt file could be placed in the root of forums.parallaxinc.com to keep spiders from indexing it. The problem with search engine links to this site is that users who go there will not see posts added to threads after migration to the new forum software. Moreover, they will not be able to respond with new info or new questions.

Thanks for identifying the crawler issue. I dropped a deny-all robots.txt file and the drop-off in traffic to the site was immediate. Now we wait for the results to drop off.

So how would I translate a URL for the old forum to the new forum? The Wiki contains lots of dead links to the old forum. I just insert "inc" into these addresses to find the referenced item in the old forum. How would I modify the address to locate the same item in the new forum?

A robots.txt file could also be added to the archive directory.
