My first post in the new Builder's forum: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQKc6KEjji8&feature=feedu

Hopefully on interest to others besides myself (I've spent many hours on a bike) to show the mechanics of a bike chain being shifted up and down. Nice HD video.

Useful because I'm a fan of the nice big cheap powerful bike motors like these:

and controllers like these: http://www.electricscooterparts.com/speedcontrollers.html

Very sleek. It would be cool, too, to see the mechanism that moves the chain from one set of sprockets to the other.

The motor listing shows some great motors for projects. I've had one of the 450W units on my bike for 4 seasons with no problems at at. With the gearbox built-in, the output torque is really impressive.

    Cheers,
