That is a nice board, I have one. There is code in OBEX for the 17 segment display but it uses up allot of pins. I am trying to get a 16bit I2C bus expander working to use all digits but it will be a while before I get to it. Right now I have the board wired up as a demo board, and waiting to get a flat tire fixed so I can go get a keyboard and mouse for it.

I am going to be using the 4x4 matrix keypad, two PCA9555N I2C expanders, and code from http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?102475-PCA9555-IO-Expander-Driver&p=719130&viewfull=1#post719130 to try and try get it all working. Once that is done I will try to get a 24-Bit I2C expander working with the display, but the IC's I have are too tiny for me to work with at the moment.

Download the schematic for the board, The switches and buttons are pulled up to 3.3V. That threw me of on a few projects that had them pulled down when I first got the board.

    Computer Geek 101,

"How do you thank a friend like this?" - Easy, show him all the cool stuff you can make with it, and share your stuff on the forum so others can benefit. Most of all have fun with it and be creative.
