Modified expirament six

For a while now, I have been wanting to do expirament six in applied sensors. i admit that i was to lazy to order the 3V pump online, so I made do with the 120 V pool pump that I had in my garage.so, I wipped up a circuit using a relay with a 12v coil and contacts rated for A FEW HUNDRED VOLTS at 75 AMPS. with a little help from the L293D chip on the PDB, i was ready to go. after building the circuit from applied sensors, this bab was ready for a test run! the pump , data logger, and the relay all worked great! when I get the chance to figure out how to get a schematic, a video, and some Pics on the post (i am quite new to the fourms) you will get to see what my meniacal creation looks like!

Forget the pump, I just want to see your relay rated at 75 amps! You certain about that rating?

Here are the picture that you requested. I am actually not sure about the rating.This is one of those parts that you find while taking something apart.

75A might be an overstatement, but it does look like a high-amperage contactor of some sort. I probably wouldn't substitute it for a starter solenoid, though.

As a matter of fact, the relay was taken out of an air conditioner's condenser unit. I have found a part that is almost identical to the one that I have. you can check it out here.

This is an air conditioner' contactor is rated at 30 amps

If you want a contactor rated for 75 amps it would be twice that size

This one is rated at 90 amps

Thanks for letting me know about the 90A one. I was just guessing about the amperage. I still need to work on my guessing skills.
