Professional Development Board Adapter

All,
I am interested in experimenting with the Propeller chip and have the Professional Development Board for the Basic Stamp and SX chip. I was wondering if there is an adapter for the 40-pin version of the Prop chip (or any Prop package) to accomodate the Dev board.
Thanks you...

While one could be made if you had a 3.3v regulator and some level translators, it would not be worth the cost. It is much easier to do like I did; Sell your PDB and Stamp (I got 120 for mine last year) and then use the money as a start to getting the PPDB (while waiting for it to go on sale again).

Or you could put down a propeller circuit and 3.3v regulator on your breadboard to at least make use of some of the devices on the PDB.

Adding some headers around the prop circuit on a protoboard would allow you to run jumpers from it to your PDB as well.

My M44D40+ module with stacking headers would work in that arrangement also.

You can use the SpinStamp with the Stamp PDB although you'd still need PropClip and you'll still need to be careful about the difference in logic levels between the 3.3V of the SpinStamp and the 5V of the Stamp. A 2.2K resistor in series between a SpinStamp I/O pin and a 5V device will work. Remember also that driving LEDs requires a lower resistor value since the SpinStamp only puts out 3.3V for a high value rather than the 5V of the Stamps. Most LEDs will light, just be dimmer with a SpinStamp.
