Peter missed the flight and fell asleep in his heater suit.

I better make my way back to UPEW pretty quickly this morning to see that he's still breathing.

Maybe it was the other way around, he missed the flight becuase he fell asleep. :)

Good thing he used Parallax components for his life supporting systems, otherwise he might have ended up having hypoxia.
(Thank God he didn't use the 6502 like the original T800, because we all know how that went)

That's actually a little scary to see. I hope he is okay.

There's a large vent on the helmet. I had the same worries.

Pete's suit was a show highlight for me...

I love the fact that the Propeller can be applied in some many devices. Peter is fun to talk to and his excitement for the Propeller and electronics is wonderfully intoxicating. Bryan (day job:EMT) kept a good eye on him to make sure he was ok overnight. :)

The real reason (for me) I didn't get much done was because it was such fun to have time to talk with folks in person that I usually only communicate with in the forums. Got a chance to help a beginner overnight and couldn't believe I'm actually starting memorize enough SPIN to rattle it off the top my head!

I brought an IR keyboard to work on a driver, but long behold localoger had 99% of a driver working and was able to quickly adapt his code to include the keyboard I brought along in his code. Now we can give all those Gadgetgangster specials a quick and painless keyboard. (WebTV)

OBC, there's still more work to do on the dang IR keyboard. I was having a bit of trouble with it later and when I set up to take some pics for the build of the LCD mod last weekend, it was being really hairy. So the mod I wrote during Chip's presentation solved the problem of making the two keyboards act the same, it actually caused more problems with my keyboard. I now suspect the nonworking shift keys on yours are the driver, not the keyboard.

Still, it is 95% there if not 99% and it's just a matter of doing some more profiling to work out how to nail the timing. I think these things use RC oscillators and they obviously have some strategy for compensating. Just got to work out what it is.

Oh, and UPEW was a total blast.

There were a few of us in the next room, keeping an eye out for Peter. I did a couple of flyby's to make sure he was still breathing. He had a big air vent in his hood with a CPU fan you could hear running full tilt so we just decided to let him sleep.
