    For those interesting in joining us, the "Sweet Spot" seems to be:

    • Using UStream for Video (seeing the presenter, etc.) (Audio is here, but not as good as below).
    • Using GoToMeeting (webinar) for Screen Shots and Audio (Audio is clearer than UStream)
    • Using the IRC Channel for "Chat"

    I am watching UStream right now but there seems to be a problem with the audio quality.

    I was "over driving" for the GoToMeeing feed, but have turned things down...

    Will some one please post some video files from this, for those of us on computers that do not have the ability to run the needed plugins (due to lack of availability)???

    I can not view those, as there is not a recent version of flash available for Mac OS Classic + mozilla. I need a downloadable WMV, AVI, MPG, or MPG (not MP4).

    Many (sadly, not all) of the "Webinar" portions have been recorded and will be made available when I get back to WisCOWnsin (we depart Rocklin tomorrow morning). I'll also see what we can do to get he recorded UStream video in a more useful format.

    Hey Gang!

    I had a blast doing the video thing. I may have missed some stuff on Sunday, quite frankly, "I'm getting too old for this overnighter stuff".

    We are getting better at this whole remote presence thing, but still have a way to go before we feel we "have it nailed". We've got two more shots to get better this year (Ottowa and Norwalk). We'll see what we can do.

    Until GoToMeeting comes up with a better video solution, our plan going forward will be to do the UStream for a video feed, and GoToMeeting for any screen shot type things we can.

    I'm glad to hear some folks enjoyed our "show", and we'll see you on UStream/GoToMeeting next month!

    Many thanks for setting up the video streaming!

    This year, despite of the heavy static noise, the audio was not muffled by reverberation, so it was a little annoying but still much more intellegible.

    By chance, I turned on again after a pause and catched the last bit of transmission before you pulled the plug, and I noticed that the very last 10 seconds or so (the moment when you and OBC waved hands at the camera) the noise disappeared completely, and the audio turned crystal clear!
    Don't know, maybe you can put this in relation with some apparatus you switched off, for the next time? :smile:
