Integrated PWM Driver

I have read about several posts regarding PWM and realize the limitations with the PWM command when in use with the BS2. Others have tried pulseout and serout type of commands with little satisfaction as it sounded. My question is Can't a true PWM driver command be built into the Basic code to make interfacing directly into a Mosfet work as real PWM? The instruction would include the pin, frequency, duty cycle, and optionally a time interval. Or just run continuous if left blank.
