UPEW Plan Canceled :(

Regrettably I have had to cancel my plans to attend UPEW this year. Family and work logistics have simply over-taxed my resources.

It saddens my to do so as I was really looking forward to meeting you guys and getting to see the Parallax HQ finally.

I will hold my chin up and hope to attend next year or one of the other locations.

    I too can't go because of work, but I knew that before I started making real plans. I guess that was easier than having to cancel plans. I did send something for the raffle since I can't go myself (so I'm being represented by pieces of laser-cut acrylic :) ). I do hope to make UPEC and UPENE.

    I'm sad that I'll miss meeting you guys. One of the greatest things about UPEW to me is matching screen names with so many friendly faces.

    You can't go because of to much work, and I can't go because there is no work... sigh.. life is harsh.

    This could be the thread for the all the sad people that can't make it to UPEW this year,
    Welcome and come join us in our sadness.. :frown:

    Of course, on the bright side, We were promised a live video feed of UPEW... :thumb:

    @jazzed - I was looking forward to meeting you too. I'd still like to buy one of your boards if available.

    @Tailspin - I'm afraid video feed just won't be the same. :(

    Doc, we'll miss seeing you at UPEW this year. But let's keep the invitation open to come here anytime, even though an UPEW event may not be underway. Maybe there's some kind of DoggieDoc convention that requires business travel, or an e-Dog conference (where microcontrollers and pet applications collide). You are welcome here anytime.

    One consolation about being displaced from the northeast to the midwest - it puts me closer to UPENE and UPEC.

    Sorry to hear you will miss UPEW.. It's an interesting event to say the least! Being hosted @ Parallax makes it unique from all the other events. However, I would welcome you to attend UPEC (next month) or UPENE (in August) -- I know you would enjoy any of them!

    Sadly I couldn't make it out to the one at Parallax this year either. Luckily the UPENE in August is coming up and I will make it there. Already have a few boxes of stuff for the freebie table.

    Regrettably I also must cancel my plans to attend. Just too many things to do around here, and my tabletop CNC is just not fat enough along. I do hope to make a Parallax visit in a few month's time if that can be made to fit with the powers in Rocklin.

    I hear (from voices in my head), next year's UPEW is the one to attend. I plan to go next year.
