As part of my modblades concept, I have designed a flexible pcb for providing the USB and power to my modules. Here is what I have...
PropPlug circuit
Available as bare pcbs, FTDI assembled, or fully assembled. Cheap postage by unregistered airmail.
PropPlug circuit
- 6pin edge connector (5V & Gnd and Propplug 4 pins)
- plugs into blade modules or other pcbs
- miniUSB connector
- USB can provide 5V power by links
- FTDI chip
- links to use DTR or RTS
- so it can be used for other chip platforms
- links for CTS to extra pin
- so it can be used wit RTS/CTS control
- links to bypass the FTDI chip
- so we can try prop usb code
- onboard resistors and FS pullup link
- links to use DTR or RTS
- DJ21 power socket (standard center positive 6-9V DC input)
- 5V regulator SMT TO252 (optional)
- Link to get 5V from miniUSB or 5V regulator

I have updated first post as I intended to offer the pcbs bare or assembled or partially assembled.
However, there has been a total lack of interest, so this may not happen this way as I have a couple of alternatives for my own use.
