Anyone using INDIRECT drivers for WIZnet module not part of the Spinneret?

So as not to pollute the other thread I've started regardind debugging my current project, a simple question that might provide some valuable insight is whether anyone has successfully used the WIZnet module with a standalone Propeller board (not the pre-packaged Spinneret board). I've pruned the failing test case down to just a write/read of the MAC address, so it's either a very peculiar and specific arrangement of code/data in memory, or my connections - unless no one else has gotten it to work.

[EDIT] It turns out the problem was with parasitics from the solderless breadboard I was using. Once I hardwired the WIZnet module to the Propeller Protoboard with shorted wires, everything worked fine. Sorry for the unnecessary fire drill.
