Hello All,

A brief introduction. Today Parallax launches Parallax Semiconductor, our division exclusively designed for our chip R&D, support and sales. Below I'm sharing a few pictures to give you an idea of our purpose. We've all experienced extensive slide shows and nothing compares to the actual result, so take a look at www.parallaxsemiconductor.com. We appreciate the support our customers, contractors and friends have provided as we developed this business. From this point, Parallax Semiconductor shall evolve and grow into a significant business.

Sincerely,

Ken Gracey

Do we need a new account for this site or can we use our existing Parallax.com or forum login?

    The site looks great Ken.
Just sent the URL to some friends at Rafael, I'm sure
they will want some QuickStart boards to tinker with :-)

    Separate registration is required.

I tried to order a couple of (paid for) Quickstart boards, but it isn't on the Parallax web site.

That's right - it'll follow shortly. Thanks for the reminder!

Just took a look at the App Note AN011 for the Program template. Do you think you should mention the DAT section and that it normally goes at the end of the code?

Thanks Robert - will see that the author reviews this comment, and all just like it. Thanks, Ken

    Ken,

    The site looks great!

Got my account and have downloaded the appnotes for some reading tonight and in the days ahead. Wonder if one large archive file for code and appnotes might be a nice offering instead of having to download each file?

I'll help support it the best I can.

That's odd. I signed up for an account but never received the confirmation email.

Did you check your spam filter (if you have one) in case it was flagged and is sitting in there? My e-mail came right away....

Yes, I checked my spam filter. However, apparently someone saw my post because a minute or so later I got my email confirming my account. I'm chosing to assume that the delay was due to the thousands of people registering for the new site! Anyway, it looks great and I hope it is immensely successful!

Hello all, I've made a copy of this whole thread and placed it here http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?131429-Suggestions-for-Parallax-Semiconductor&p=996493#post996493. This will be a much easier (on-topic) location from where our team can address these points related to grammar, spelling and coding suggestions. I'll see that all of your input has a special place with one of us and that it is addressed. I'll also request that the engineer or web person follow-up with a reply in the Suggestions thread containing this content.

We'll keep a bit tighter moderation (in terms of being on-topic, basic adherence to our rules, but not restricting your speech in any way) in this new forum. It's one place that our team will actively handle your topics.

Who gets "website 'fix' stuff" to look at?

For me, it is opening a new window at each link.

Also, the drop-down menus on the default page are hidden under the banner.

That's an interesting situation, wrightme! I'll bring the webbies into this thread to take a look, but the first thing they'll ask is what OS, browser, and specific version numbers. If you could reply with that information it would be very helpful so we can simulate the craziness on our own.

    Thanks,

    Ken Gracey

    I.E. 7IE version: 7.0.5730.13
    128-bit

    on XP Pro

    Version 2002
    SP3

Note, When I click another link past the default page at the domain name, it is fine. It is just the default (index.htm/html/php or whatever is the default at the root).
So, http://www.parallaxsemiconductor.com/ is the spot with the menu problem

The menus do not disappear on http://www.parallaxsemiconductor.com/multicoreconcept for instance.
