Stamp tp control linear actuators

I have built a robot arm using re-purposed hospital bed linear actuators (115v, 2a) and am wanting to be able to control them with my BS2. I have heard that one way to do that is with DPDT Solid State Relays...will that work? If so, how can I protect the stamp from current spikes, and also how can I meet the coil activation requirements for the relay (it is a #275Radio Shack-217 125VAC/10A DPDT Plug-In Relay DPDT 10A at 125VAC 125VAC, 15mA, 4.5ohm). Or, is there a better way to go?
Thanks!
Thanks!

This is just what you need. You also only need to switch the line side of your 125vAC circuit. the neutral is bonded to ground.

It's good for 8 amps too

The I/O board will show you how to wire the SSR.
